Product Safety Recall

Water Filters Australia are initiating a product safety recall for the Water Filter Monitors (Timers) which were supplied with some Water Filter System products sold by WFA between 22 June 2022 and 25 July 2022.

What is the reason for the recall?

The reason for the recall is that each Timer contains one button battery. However, the Timer does not comply with the mandatory standards for products containing button batteries. If young children gain access to the button battery contained in the Timer and ingest it, they are likely to suffer severe internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness or death. Button batteries also pose a choking hazard to young children.

The Timers were supplied for promotional purposes only and are not required for the effective function of the Water Filter System products.
